Working As A Team!

Every spring we spend the whole month of April burning and doing yard work.. This spring was no different (other than Kel got the burning permit towards the 1st of the month instead of the last so we were legal :) We spent a few weeks working hard out in the yard. Although it is a lot of work we really have a good time... especially the 4, no wait the 5 (including Kelly) that LOVE playing in the fire

That Really Hurt Charlie!

I really don't have anything to write about right now (not because nothing interesting has been going on, come on.. we have 5 kids :) but because things have been so crazy that my mind is mush! So I'm going to post my very favorite video.

I laugh so hard my guts hurt every time I see this video. I have been fighting a little bout of pneumonia the last couple weeks and everytime I watch this video (which is a few times a day because I love it so much) I go in to a coughing fit, but I just can't get enough.. I love it! I think both of these boys are absolutely adorable! It's so cute that his baby brother actually gets a kick out of it. It seems the more he screams the harder Charlie bites. He is totally amused. I also love the look on both of their faces.. especially the big brother when he decides that it really hurts. He's trying so hard to be tough. It does too! Have you ever stuck your finger in a baby's mouth only to have him (and I say him for a reason) bite down so had it makes your eyes water? I have. They bite hard and it only gets harder when they know how much pain you're really in.

I heard about this website on Fox 13 news the other night and right now it's my favorite website. There are some really funny videos. You'll have to check it out!

MACBETH

Last night was Chet's class performance of MacBeth. It was amazing! Everyone one of those kids had that whole entire story memorized and recited their lines without any help. That's a lot of work for 2nd graders! In the weeks leading up to the play Chet would not tell his parts or anything about the play.. he wanted it to be a complete surprise and it was! He played 3 different parts. He was a greeter, the Dr. and a son. As soon as I figure out how to get video clips from my video camera to the computer I'll post some video. They did such a good job! Oskar's mesh suit was made out of pop can tabs. Amazing! That's a lot of pop cans and a lot of work! Way to go Mrs. Powell's 2nd grade class!

Our New Source Of Fun

They finished the new solomon Center a while back and we have been really enjoying it (they actually finished it quite a while back.. we are just slow at getting to places like these). There is the Flowrider which is a pool with waves and you can surf, an I FLY which is my favorite.. I could watch it all day long (it is a wind tunnel and the guys or gals get in and it looks like they are skydiving). It is amazing! Then, there is miniature golf, bowling, bumper cars and an arcade. We have had such a fun time at this new place.. it's just what Ogden needed.

He's Home!

Michael's plane came in yesterday and we were all there to greet him

(except Brett, Chris, Hanna, Bek, Lily & Jackson), but they will all be up

this week for the Homecoming. It was so good to see him. I can't believe

he's home! Having a bunch of siblings (hate that word... sounds so cold!)

I am waiting for my turn to spend some time with him. We need to go to

lunch soon!

Do They Have Pink?

I had a hair appt. a few weeks ago and
I told the girl to dye my hair a dark red
(just for something new & exciting... HA!)
Yesterday I was checking my emails and
Jasmyn walked in and stood by me and
put her arms around me. The cute
conversation I had with her cracked me up..
this is how it went.....

Jasmyn: I love your hair mom
me: you do? Thanks!
Jasmyn: I love red hair and when I get married I am going to get my hair red.
me: you are?
Jasmyn: yeah, I am.. Wait!
Do they have pink?

I couldn't help but giggle and it didn't surprise me at all... she LOVES pink!
